[not long after her voice comes through the journals, Reimu will be shutting her own and taking off to the skies through a window in her apartment. She'll be flying through the air to her destination: the cherry blossom hill where she's had the idea to build her shrine for a while now.

Once she gets there, she'll be on the ground trying to find the best place to set it up.]

Noel, huh? Sounds kind of Christmas-y. Well, good to meet you! I'm Reimu.

It's a pleasure. I take it you're from this place called Gensokyo? What's it like?

Reimu's a name I've never heard before.

Pardon the absurd question, but what's Christmas? [They had celebrations back on Gran Pulse 700AF, but Christmas wasn't something he was accustomed to.]

Yeah, Gensokyo's my home. It's a land of magic and mystery-- pfft who am I kidding, it's full of drunk youkai who like to shoot danmaku. [She'll chuckle at that, at least.] It's a nice place.

Christmas. It's a big winter celebration, I don't really know the proper details except someone was born and there's presents given out. I guess there's songs and everything. Next time I'm home, I should ask around the human village.

But what I do know is that there's a song with your name in it! Only sung around that time.

I'm guessing they liked to party often. [Not that he knows what danmaku and youkai are. They didn't exist in his world. He'll just nod firmly even though she can't see it.]

A song with my name in it? That explains why it sounded like you've heard my name from somewhere before. It'll be a couple of months before winter comes. I'm looking forward to it.

I might be able to find it before then, never know here. But once winter comes? Definitely! Now I can say I know someone whose name is a song too!

Winter's still a while away. It'll be a few months before then, but you can do that.

There's plenty of it where I'm from. There's not much to do but relax. Unless some weirdo comes in and tries some funny stuff.

Taking over, wanting to be top dog, or just troublemakers who don't know the rules around Gensokyo. Other than that, we have pretty peaceful days. If we weren't trapped by whackos with a like to use us as guinea pigs, it'd be like I was at home.

You gotta teach 'em a lesson or two. Or else they're bound to make the same mistakes again.

It'd be great if you could go home.

Usually they just hang around me and pester me once they've been taught a lesson to play by the rules.

[And drink all of her sake. Sigh.]

I wouldn't wish it for just myself, of course. But hey, gotta work with what I got. I'll invite everyone over for tea once my shrine's done.

If you keep working at it, one day you'll reach your goal. Then we can all have a big celebration and drink tea like you said.

Sure! You're always invited by, of course. I don't think I would have problems with visitors around all the time. Just as long as something is in my donation box at the end of the day.

[Even if there's absolutely no money here, it doesn't hurt to have one out for anything else!]

If there were money here, then yes. But anything works for me here, I've found. Food, knick-knacks, anything useful, mainly. I definitely wish there was money here, though.

[She'd probably get more here than back in Gensokyo, sadly.]
