All right. I don't think I can take much more.

I'm building my shrine here.

[not long after her voice comes through the journals, Reimu will be shutting her own and taking off to the skies through a window in her apartment. She'll be flying through the air to her destination: the cherry blossom hill where she's had the idea to build her shrine for a while now.

Once she gets there, she'll be on the ground trying to find the best place to set it up.]

The sun goddess, Amaterasu, if you're familiar. [Miyabi hops around, toward the stand where offerings can be placed. Above that, hanging on the wall, is a painting of the wolf herself, that the little poncle made herself.]

Mm...land of illusions? I don't think I've ever really heard of anything like that before, I'm sorry. But it sounds like something from a story.

Ahh, Amaterasu, yes! I know her. The goddess that shut herself in a cave, bringing on the winter. When she emerged, she melted the snow in a brilliant flash. Wish she would have been around when we were having problems with winter going away.

Not quite a story. It's where the youkai come from. My family has been tasked with keeping the border between the Outside World and Gensokyo safe, so humans don't get eaten by the youkai.

[Miyabi blinks, and tilts her head to one side. That's...not a story she's ever heard before. It could be that it was after her time in Nippon, maybe, but still. Miyabi's pretty well versed in old folklore and stuff herself. Ishaku tells her and the other poncles a lot about Amaterasu and the other gods.]

Ah, I've...never heard that story before. Not yet... Ah, but that's a really good job you have! Kind of like a priestess, miss? Is that right?

Really? You don't know of the gapha-- er, the one in charge of gaps, Yukari? Man, and here I thought I was being impressive. [She's laughing a little though, not taking that last statement too seriously.]

You could say that, though. My shrine acts as the border, so anything that wants through has to go through myself and the Hakurei border. Since I'm the caretaker, I would be a priestess, as you say.

[Miyabi laughs sheepishly, and apologizes - she's not at all familiar with many things outside her own world and its legends and myths, though that doesn't say she's becoming very fascinated by everything she's hearing now. Quite the opposite, actually! Her glow becomes bright, and she hops up and down with glee - a priestess of sorts! In her own little shrine!]

Oh, that's amazing! Uhm, could you--I mean...if it's no trouble, do you think you could bless this shrine? Or offer your prayers here, miss? I'll hang a few charms in your honor, of course.

Oh, sure. I don't mind. I can come by and bless it properly, since I'm not well-equipped for that sort of thing right now. But I can offer some prayers here.

And hey, if I find a perfect place for my shrine, we'll have to have some dual events. I wouldn't want to leave out the shrine that was here first in festivities.

[Ffff--! The little poncle's glow turns bright, and she bounces excitedly and the thought of her little shrine being blessed properly at some point. Oh, she was so happy!]

Oh, thank you! Thank you so very much! This shrine is very important to me, so I can't express my gratitude enough to you, miss. When you do come across a place to make a shrine, please let me know. I'd like to help in any way that I can, to repay you.

[Reimu will take a look around, mainly at the paintings. After a moment of silence, she'll look at Miyabi and ask:] Did you paint these? I saw you painting one when I came in, but I don't really want to assume.

Eh? Oh, yes. I made all the paintings, scrolls, banners...everything here in this place is my work. It's a new shrine, so everything right now is for Amaterasu.

[But, Miyabi's planning to rotate the decor every year on New Year's day with that of another of the thirteen brush gods from her world.]

[She'll think on that for a few minutes, looking at everything closely and admiring the work put into it. After those few minutes, she'll return her eyes to Miyabi.]

Mind painting something for me? Or rather, a shrine once it's built? In return for any prayers and blessings you might have me give here.

Oh, of course! It'd be my pleasure to do so. If you have anything planned out already, I could try sketching out some ideas and see if you like them.

[She should have some materials around the shrine, behind the alter for offerings if she hasn't used them all up already.]

Oh, not really. Anything would be great, even if it's a giant mural of Amaterasu. Just something ceremonial, something I can say "the great shrinekeeper on Cherry Blossom Hill painted this for me, and it's a great honour to house it in my shrine," something like that.

[G-Great shrine keeper, what vfklds--! Miyabi holds her face, her glow becoming a bright, hot pink. That's completely not what she was, just a humble painter, really! B-But it was nice to hear...]

O-Oh, all right...I'll be sure to make something extra special for you! I'll do my very best to make sure it's just as you say...th-though you really do flatter me, miss. I'm nothing special, really.

If you say so, but it takes some hard work to keep something like this up.

What's your name, anyway? I'm Hakurei Reimu, but just Reimu will suffice.

Oh, I'm very sorry! My name is Miyabi, Miss Reimu. Or, if you prefer, Miya, for short. It's a great pleasure to meet you.

Oh, just 'Reimu' is fine. What about Mi-chan? Or is that too much?
