[not long after her voice comes through the journals, Reimu will be shutting her own and taking off to the skies through a window in her apartment. She'll be flying through the air to her destination: the cherry blossom hill where she's had the idea to build her shrine for a while now.

Once she gets there, she'll be on the ground trying to find the best place to set it up.]

I'd been looking out by the hill with the cherry blossoms so far. I dunno if there's anywhere else that I'd like, though I'm open for suggestions.

I think I know the spot you're talking about. It's a pretty good area. Do you need any help with building it?

The location isn't set in stone just yet, but yeah, I'd need help with it. Not cut out for heavy lifting.

Good. You had me worried there. I would have liked to see how you would have kicked my ass though. [She'll laugh at that thought, though realizing he was very much armed with a gun, too.]

I have a feeling it would have been related to your gun.

The Bureau trains us in a number of ass-kicking techniques, though yes, having a gun has a thing or two to do with it.

Too bad you can't danmaku anymore, I'd ask you to battle, see who had the flashier attacks. I wouldn't try to hurt you though, that wouldn't be very fair of me.

I really miss being able to do that. Nothing like a crazy-ass light show to get your enemies' full attention.

Well Marisa learned to be a witch, she's one of the few humans in Gensokyo to be able to use spell cards. Wonder if you could do the same?

Hmm... and it could help that I used to know how to use them, in my alternate life... Though I may need to go back to the basics of Spell Cards 101.

Well, I'm pretty sure there's books in the library, someone found one there before. Might be able to at least use them, even if you can't fly.

I'll take a look for them the next time I go there. It's worth trying, after all. I'm technically not a magic user, but I've been doing pretty well with the Filials that I've been in contact with so far...

[A spell card or two ought to work out just fine!]

You could probably do something with them. They might not be on the fly like they used to be though, and you might have to actually channel some energy and really concentrate. But hey, better than nothing, right?

A lot better than nothing. I bet I could manage it. I've been honing my concentration abilities thanks to the Filials.

Ah right, those spirits that float around and teach magic, right? You might be able to pull something off if you've been practicing with their magic.

I've gotten magic from a couple of them now, and I try to practice regularly so I don't get rusty. But it's definitely given me a good feel for magic.
